when i looked more beautiful according to patriarchal and western standards of beauty, i actually spent a lot less time feeling beautiful. what happens if my body isn’t the main character of my life? what happens if it gets to simply be the vessel carrying me through it? it’s the setting not the plot.

and how getting dressed for 75 days changed my brain chemistry (okay don’t quote me on the science of it but you know what I mean). and so it turns out i have a lot to say on body image. 🌀

two years of kitty party 🪩 the point was always to build a world at the intersection of art (in all its iterations) and friendship.

the first kitty party happened on mother’s day weekend because at its core it was always meant to celebrate the women who hold everything together. moms, aunties, sisters, daughters, friends, chosen family, and the collective care it takes to move through this strange life together.

and somehow the energy of that night never really left. the tone was set for the kind of world we wanted to build and the kinds of relationships we wanted to nurture inside it. still very grateful for everyone who has stepped inside kitty party with us over the last two years 🌶️

and yes, before you ask, there’s more coming!
