Yesterday when I was flying home I started working on my next 10 day challenge and it will be cacti inspired so this color palette fits here really well.

My color palette project started with a 30 day challenge that expanded and now I’m beyond 30 and stopped counting! I’m working on something fun that hopefully you will see this Wednesday!

Lasy night I’ve got inspired and worked on this piece for the Birds Butterflies and Blooms 100 day challenge hosted by

Since I worked on 2 pieces last night I didn’t finish this guy but it’s almost done. It needs a bit more details here and there but overall I’m really happy with how it turned out!

So I’m not sure if I’ll stick to 100 days but I’m going to give it a shot.

Anyone wants to know how I make mandalas in Procreate and try to make their own? I’m planing to write about my process, useful tools and and give away some mandala frameworks you can use to start with. To use the frameworks and implement my techniques you don’t need Procreate. You can print them out and have fun with pen or colored pencils!

Work in progress from my folder of unfinished projects! One day I’ll finish them all.
My arm is feeling much better but I’ll still give it a break for another week or so and then get back on the wagon of creating. In the meantime I’ll be on a road trip so that’s gonna be fun as well!

I think it’s time to unplug for the next few days.

I’m pet sitting in pretty cool places for the next 5 days and I want to enjoy them. As well as I have a little project cooking in my little brain so I want to take some time to plan it out. But I’m also still struggling with my shoulder/arm/hand pain that doesn’t seem to go away because I’m still doing the things that are causing it even though I limited or stopped doing a lot that I would do normally. The pain is still here and is not going away. I think this is the longest it stuck around in a consecutive number of days.

Second unfinished project is finished. Since I’m taking it slow this month I’m not getting as much drawing and illustrating done. But I was able to finish this guy in slow bursts of time and this was not an easy task.

Swipe to see the stats on this baby! 7 hours and 44 minutes in Procreate + making the sketch on paper, over 5500 strokes made. And the video length is 30 mins. That’s insane how a little pineapple drawing may take.

As I take it slow I’m making a list of my unfinished projects and this guy is definitely going on the list! I can’t believe I still didn’t finished it. I want to do a butterfly series one day! It probably will end up being a 30 or more days of challenge.

Did you know that there are still thousands of moth and butterfly species that have not been found or described by scientists. In the United States and Canada, more than 750 species of butterflies and 11,000 species of moths have been recorded. Many species of moths and a few kinds of butterflies are still being discovered.

I probably won’t paint all of them but it would be cool to draw some of the prettiest ones? Do you have a favorite butterflies? Let me know their names and I’ll start working on a list for the day I’ll take on this challenge!

Under the sea is where I want to be!

Few days ago I asked in my stories if you are a left brain or right brain artist and some of you aid that they don’t know. So here is an easy way to determine which one you are:

The right hemisphere is associated with cognitive skills, such as creativity, emotion and intuitiveness. Right-brain dominant people are characterized as artistic, intuitive and subjective.

In contrast someone who is "left-brained" is often more logical, analytical, and objective. A person who is "right-brained" is said to be more intuitive, thoughtful, and subjective.

So do you think you are left or right brain artist?

I’m left brain artists with aspiration to be a right brain artist. But over the years things have change thanks to practicing art. Few years ago I took a test that calculates how left brained I am and the score was really close to a 100%. I took the same test recently and it shows I’m still left brained but my number went down to about 60% and what more interesting is that when I was reading the questions I noticed when my answers changed and how my thinking and behaviors changed since the first time I took that test.
