MAJOR UPDATE 💫

It’s official…I’m a mom! Can’t believe it sometimes, but I have to say—I am 💯 obsessed with my son, Axel. Becoming a mom is my most important job yet and of course I’m still figuring it all out. Not exactly the easiest thing in the world, but it’s worth it.

And its not unlike building a business or even keeping one going. There are always things and strategies and marketing and lessons and new platforms, etc, etc, etc to learn. And one thing is very clear—there will always be someone out there to help you through it.

Friends and family have been there for me through this new chapter in motherhood, just like I can be there for you in yours with your business.

Monday Mantra ✨💫

In business, I think we sometimes lose sight of why we do what we do. Putting clients and customers first is undoubtedly important, but doing the things we love to help serve them are just as important. 💥

How do you find your niche? 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes we stumble on what our niche is and sometimes it takes work to analyze, contemplate, research, etc.

In my experience, how I found my niche may have been a little of both.

Let me explain.

I felt like I kept hitting a wall with finding out what my niche was. Everyone was like “what are you passionate about?!” And as hard as I tried, this way just didn’t work for me. I felt alone and defeated. Maybe this isn’t what I’m supposed to do after all. 😭

So I tried another way to find my niche.

I got clear on what I didn’t want to do, which led to my understanding of values. What did I prioritize in my life, and what did I value in my business?

By learning and understanding what my values are, I actually found my niche - branding and web design based off of your core value system.

Bc I learned I was tired of creating something just because it was pretty or worked well together, but ultimately didn’t feel like me. How frustrating that I would need (or feel like I had to) start all over again. 😡 Grrr.

But when you do something that feels aligned with who you are, that niche becomes clear as day. And you become aligned with who you are when you know your values.

So try it. Find your core values to find your niche. By knowing what’s important to us, (bc we are each unique and our combination of values will be unique), will lead you as your guide into finding a niche that feels right for you. One that speaks to your soul and lights you up. 🤩

What are your 3 P’s? 🤔

They are (and this is not limited to) the reasons why you would want to upgrade your site. >>>

No. 1 - You feel that your business has hit a PLATEAU. Which is kinda great. Means you’re ready to scale to the next level and rebranding and upgrading your website can do just that. Attract your ideal clients because you’ve learned more about them and what they want.

No. 2 - Going from diy to PROFESSIONAL. We all need to start somewhere and I know for a fact just starting is better than waiting for something perfect. But going from a diy site to one that looks professional, will alert potential customers that you are here to stay, offer amazing service/products, and you deliver!

No. 3 - You recognize the POWER of great branding. And branding can go deeper into tone of voice and customer service, but many times it starts with the visual. A great looking brand puts you above and separates you from the competition. It signals to potential clients that what you stand for aligns with what they do, therefore trust and confidence is built.

It’s been a minute since I’ve talked about my bread and butter.

If you’re new here, first of all - Welcome! I’m a huge believer in finding, learning and embracing your values when it comes to design and building a brand you love. Your unique values are what keeps you “authentic” - the word you’ve heard over and over again.

Finding those values don’t always come easy either. And most times we have a lot of values. So how do you find them? How do you narrow them down?

I haven’t talked about my workbook, The Values Brand Guide, in a bit, but it is one of the BEST ways to find your values so you can build a brand and business you love around them. And if you don’t know your values, you will always be changing your brand.

Sometimes there is no “One Fine Day.” No perfect time to take action.⁠

I used to think, “I know I want to have this done, but maybe it’s better that I wait for better timing.” But then a whole month went by, a few months, a year, maybe more? and I never took action to do what I wanted to move things forward in my business. ⁠😢

I’ve learned, the hard way, that the time is now. Don’t wait for the perfect day or the perfect time to take that action. ⁠You could be waiting for forever.

I hear from clients that the time isn’t right for a rebrand or a new website, and I understand, truly I do, but I also understand feeling the disappointment in myself or the missing out on booking clients. The thought of “what if” can be painful and the effects long-lasting. ⁠

Now, having taken action myself to make my dreams come true, I can 100% say going ahead and taking the action is waaaayyyy better. It’s a relief! An excitement. A pride in knowing you’re doing what needs to be done to set you up for success.

⁠ Think about your ideal client landing on your IG and they’re completely taken by your work and your branding. They head to your website and are excited to see immediately, that you are the vendor for them. They at once book a consult or email you.

If you’re thinking it’s time for a rebrand or new website and you’re ready to climb past the plateau you’re at, that one fine day can be today. It’s time to level up, my friend. Let’s do you one proud! ⁠

What makes a good website?

There are many things that contribute to good web design and I’m gonna give you a few tips you can do to make sure your site is on point.

✨Are your use of fonts consistent? Like are your headings the same font? Is it readable?

✨Are your colors consistent? Are you using too many? Depending on your branding, usually best to keep it to a minimum. 2-3 main colors with a light use of accents and neutrals.

✨Do you guide your viewer on where you want them to go? Are you issuing Call to Actions strategically?

✨Break up your page with photos, design elements, fonts and colors. Have fun, get creative.

✨Big Huge Point : does your site have a strong, clear purpose? Are you a baker and really wanting to attract more brides? Is that clear on your site? Make sure your goal is visually clear.

The site above is for the upcoming .bridal.concierge. One of the purposes of the site is to make sure the bride knows what the service is. How it works. What are the steps? How are they able to help their bride? To achieve this, we laid it out directly in a fun and engaging way. Creating little design nuggets that accomplish their goal clearly.

So take a gander through your site or ask someone to review it. Are the above tips/pointers in place?

Has this happened to you?

You wake up like an hour before your alarm all wide eyed and raring to go? Certain thoughts can’t leave your mind until you have fulfilled them in some way?

This morning I woke up at exactly 4am (alarm goes off at 5 - I love being a morning gal 🥰), and I had all of these thoughts and ideas in my mind. I tried to just go about my normal morning routine but something kept nagging at me.

It wasn’t until I brain dumped everything onto a piece of paper, words, thoughts, drawings - nothing of it really making sense, was I able to breathe.

But it was an excited and energized train of thoughts and I’m thankful for the experience. This was one of the thoughts/creations that came to mind. Perhaps it’s a client I haven’t yet worked with or a design that will work for one.

Anyhow, glad I followed my gut and creativity. You never know, right? ✨
