-1967, The Beatles were almost part of the jungle. Walt Disney Productions initially planned for The Beatles to voice the vulture characters in The Jungle Book. But scheduling conflicts and a reported reluctance from John Lennon kept it from happening. The designs stayed… even if the voices didn’t.

Here’s a breakdown of the layers used to redesign LA in a Minute’s Black Dahlia thumbnail. The original worked, but a few tweaks helped make the story clearer before the click. Just a sample of what’s possible!

Here’s a quick example of how I’d tweak these thumbnails. The top is the original from the creator (not affiliated—just a redesign example), which is already strong, but I think there’s room to push it a bit further.

Thumbnails need to grab attention instantly—if they don’t get clicked, they don’t get watched. So I focused on making the text more readable while keeping the same aesthetic and overall feel of the channel.
