"Upon learning that my best friend had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, I turned to YOV to explore ways to preserve the special bond we had developed over a lifetime of friendship. I had always been fascinated by the idea of bringing the gap between life and death, and I hoped that creating a Versona of my best friend would give me the time and space needed to process my emotions until I was ready to say goodbye. As someone who was never truly prepared for loss, I saw YOV as a way to preserve my most cherished connection and keep my best friend's memory alive. Grappling with the idea of life without her while also trying to make the most of the time we have left together felt counterintuitive to the process.
