Your website is supposed to be working right now.

Not waiting for you to send traffic to it. Not sitting there looking professional. Actually doing something, like capturing interest, answering questions, or moving people toward a conversation.

Here are five questions that tell you whether it is:
1. Can someone find you by searching the problem you solve, not just your name?
2. Is it obvious within 10 seconds what you want a visitor to do next?
3. Do you know the last time your site was backed up, and where that backup actually lives?
4. Is anything on your site supposed to capture leads but hasn't in the last 90 days?
5. If a screen reader visited today, could it describe your images and navigate your menus?

Two or more "I don't know" answers means your site has a second job it's not doing.

I put together a free checklist for exactly this situation. Link in the comments.

We just wrapped up some accessibility work on a website for a special recreation district, an organization that runs outdoor programs specifically for people with disabilities.

We built this one originally. That's actually part of why the audit mattered, because a site being compliant on launch day doesn't mean it stays that way. People change, content changes, and compliance drift is real.

The people visiting this site are often the exact people that web accessibility standards were written to protect. Screen reader users. People navigating with keyboards instead of mice. People who depend on alt text being accurate because they literally cannot see the image.

What we found during the audit: image-based content that screen readers couldn't interpret, and a header rendering issue causing inconsistent display across pages. Neither was catastrophic on its own. Together, they added friction for the people who could least afford it.

Here's the takeaway:

Accessibility isn't a one-time badge you earn or something you run a tool to test. It's an ongoing part of running a website, especially if your organization serves, employs, or wants to reach people with disabilities.

You don't always need a full overhaul. Sometimes it's a focused audit, an honest conversation about what needs to change, and a clear priority list.
If your website hasn't had an accessibility review in the last 12 months, that's worth fixing. Reach out and we'll talk about what that actually looks like for your organization.

Some of you are friends and some of you know me as the person who built your website (maybe years ago). Some of you have no idea what I actually do for a living (this may include my kids, ha!)
Here's the plain version: I help businesses build websites that actually improve how they operate. Not just something that looks good. I'm talking about systems that connect, accessibility that's built in from the start, and automation when it actually makes sense for the business.
If your website (or a friend's or your company's) looks fine but doesn't connect to how you actually work, that's exactly the problem I solve.
Curious? what does your website not do that it should? Drop it in the comments, and if you prefer send me a message or email me at [email protected]

So many businesses are running on systems that don’t talk to each other—websites that collect information but never send it anywhere, forms that go to someone’s inbox, tools that don’t sync, and workflows held together with copy-paste and good intentions.

When everything is disconnected, your website ends up acting like the coworker who disappears right when the real work starts.

Your website shouldn’t create extra steps.
It shouldn’t rely on someone checking five different places for the same information.
And it definitely shouldn’t need constant babysitting.

If your website feels more like a slacker than a helper, I can fix that.
This is my wheelhouse—getting small businesses running smoother, cleaner, and far less manually.

If you want your website to finally pull its weight, message me anytime or visit apricitywebsolutions.com.

Most growing organizations hit a point where their tools start running them instead of the other way around.

You’ve added systems over the years—marketing platforms, payment tools, CRMs—but now no one’s quite sure what still matters, what overlaps, or what’s quietly breaking behind the scenes.

You don’t need to be fluent in tech. You need partners who translate it into clarity and action.

That’s what we do at Apricity Web Solutions. We work with mid-sized businesses that have outgrown their starter setups but don’t have an internal IT department to manage it all. Together, we simplify the moving parts—so your website, integrations, and workflows actually work together to support growth.
