The recent Supreme Court cases involving affirmative action in college admissions have no bearing on AA for federal contractors. Whereas AA in colleges take race into consideration when admitting students, covered federal contractors must comply with numerous AA obligations when making employment decisions.

The EEOC announced yesterday that all covered employers should replace their "EEO is the Law" poster and supplement with the new "Know Your Rights" poster. Employers should also replace any Know Your Rights posters that were published prior to October 26, 2022. There is no clear deadline to post, but the announcement indicated that employers should display the new poster, "within a reasonable amount of time."
