We create products to help people. We're trying to solve problems!

👉Let's not forget that when we write headlines on our websites.👈

I think we get so caught up in the excitement of what we've built—the amazing features into which we've poured our blood, sweat, and tears.

I get it. You want to shout from the rooftops your product's incredible features.

But people don't buy features. The buy problem solutions

✨"I need to a car with great fuel economy SO I can save on gas."
✨"I want cleaning supplies that help me get the house cleaned fast BECAUSE I have three kids who need my attention."

Features are only important to consumers when they address the primary pain point.

Keep your features list simple and concise. Only mention those that align to specific pain points and solutions of targeted customers.

Remember: You're writing FOR your consumers not for yourself.

Keep their frustrations 🤬 and their hopes 🥳 at the forefront of your mind as you write your headlines.

You can do this! Why am I so sure?

Because you're a consumer TOO! Write how you want to be written to.

I've said before that bad design is disabling, but that's not limited to just websites.

As a blind person, Lucy Greco must use accessibility features and functionalities to perform tasks sighted people take for granted.

But some designs just suck. 🤮
