Say hi to Antonio Centonze Csi - our next colourist showcase!
What does more than four decades in post-production look like? For Antonio Centonze, it means a career spanning analogue television, editing, compositing, visual effects and the evolution of digital colour correction - from Italy to his professionally equipped grading studio now in Sydney.
Today, Antonio works as a freelance colourist across feature films, television, commercials and music videos, with a particular focus on high-end finishing, HDR, colour science and advanced post-production workflows. But despite the technology changing dramatically throughout his career, one thing has remained constant: the story comes first.
“My philosophy as a colourist is simple: to offer directors and cinematographers more than they expect when we begin discussing a new project.”
Antonio's approach is a great reminder that colour grading isn't simply about knowing the technology. It's about developing your eye, understanding the story and building the right creative relationship with the people behind the image.
And, of course, we were especially interested to hear how OmniScope fits into his workflow from the RGB Parade and Vectorscope to the Skin Tone Scope and CC Timeline.
