Still, reeling over my weekend at Cheza Nami Foundation's 14th Annual Taste of Africa Festival. There's something about immersing oneself in African culture that is extremely soul gratifying and fulfilling.

It's a small taste of home.

It's nostalgia, and it can only be felt to be understood.

From the warmth of community, to delicious African food (shout out to Kirika Kamau and Taste of Tanzania 😋), to vibrant, uplifting music, Taste of Africa in the heart of Livermore is worth experiencing. Cannot wait for next year's event. 🙌🏾

What a DAY! 🌍✨

Cheza Nami Foundation's14th Annual Taste of Africa was nothing short of phenomenal! From the incredible talent to the beautiful culture, delicious food, laughter, and so much heart — you could feel the passion in every corner.

Ciiku and co-producer Chanel truly outdid themselves, as usual! 👏🏾✨

It was such a joy to see so many familiar faces ☺️, reconnect with friends, and celebrate alongside the incredible African and Diaspora communities in .

African Diaspora of Las Vegas's Africa Day Fête & Fundraising Gala was an incredible celebration of culture, community, and excellence. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, reconnecting with friends, and witness the spirit of togetherness that makes the diaspora community so special.

Team dbydee spearheaded the promotional campaign for this event 🙌🏾 "Our Culture, Our Power," from managing the socials, to designing the event program and step-&-Repeat... it was a fun ride.
