The music star recently revealed that heās making a hefty income of $50,000 ā $60,000 hourly from playing video games on livestream, and admitted that the set-up leaves him with no desire to tour overseas.
T-Pain, real name Faheem Rashad Najm, 39, stated during a recent interview:
āWhen you make $50,000 to $60,000 an hour playing video games in your underwear, itās hard to justify traveling overseas for work.ā
Continuing, the āBartenderā artist gave more insight into the booming gaming industry, sharing that heās actually one of the lower earners compared to other musicians who stream as they play video games. Mentioning rap star specifically, T-Pain stated:
āIām on the low tierā¦There are people making millions a month. Iām making less than Tee Grizzley. When we talk about hourly rates, I know Iām doing less than him.ā
One report notes that Tee Grizzley has also previously opened up about his streaming earnings, disclosing that he makes millions a month from his Grand Theft Auto 5 role-playing server, partially through membership fees from the 90,000 users who have joined the server he manages. T-Pain gave an example of the kind of endorsements heās been getting as well, continuing in the interview:
āAll I have to do during the stream is occasionally say, āHey guys, 7-Eleven has pizza now. Donāt you want a pizza from 7-Eleven?
