Our side panel utility buttons module can now also rock Gold buttons for the C64U Founder's edition!

Add dedicated tactile utility buttons to the side of your Commodore 64 Ultimate and make your system easier and more enjoyable to use. No more remembering keyboard presses or multi‑press sequences on the power switch — this module gives you instant, satisfying access to Menu, Reset, and Special functions with real micro‑switch buttons you can see and feel. The Special button supports cartridge images that originally included a physical button, including classic “freezer” cartridges such as Super Snapshot and Action Replay.

An optional micro‑SD slot is available, letting you route the card to the side of the C64U for quick and convenient access right where you need it.

This design has low profile, colored buttons that are easy to recognize, so you always hit the right function without hesitation. Plus it’s easy to install — no soldering and or major case‑modding, just some minor disassembly that integrates cleanly with the Ultimate.

The C64U User Port Cover is a simple but essential add‑on for anyone using their C64 Ultimate with the rear ports exposed. When inserting a USB flash drive, it’s surprisingly easy to miss the port and make contact with the exposed solder joints underneath — a mistake that can instantly short the board.

Thanks to members of the C64U Facebook community for bringing this risk to everyone’s attention. Several users have requested a ready‑made solution for those who can’t fabricate their own parts, so these covers are now available.
