Paper jam. Tray two. There is no tray two.

Moses had a delegation problem. His father-in-law noticed first.

Moses was sitting from morning until evening, settling every question for every person. Jethro watched him and said:

"So Moses' father-in-law said to him, 'The thing that you do is not good. Both you and these people who are with you will surely wear yourselves out. For this thing is too much for you; you are not able to perform it by yourself.'" Exodus 18:17-18 (NKJV)

Jethro wasn't criticizing him. He cared about Moses and the people. Then he helped him share the load with capable, faithful people.

If your week feels like Moses' week, that isn't a failure. It might be an invitation to let others carry part of it with you.

If you could hand off one task tomorrow, which one would it be?

The bulletin. The follow-up texts. The spreadsheet nobody else understands. The Saturday night slides.

Monday morning, and the list is forty things long.

Try three buckets:
- Only you can do it: preaching and praying with people.
- Someone else can do it: a willing volunteer.
- A system can do it: like the welcome text.

"See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:15-16 (NKJV)

Redeeming the time means your best hours go to what only you can do. You weren't meant to carry all forty. We're cheering you on.

The inbox will still be there at 8:15.

Before the emails, the texts, and the forty things on the list, give God the first few minutes of your week.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

Jesus said this to people who were worried about food, clothes, and how they'd get through tomorrow. He didn't tell them their needs didn't matter. He told them where to start. Monday is a good day to start there too.

Sunday's sermon took everything he had. Then Monday showed up with four more jobs.

Editing the clip. Writing the caption. Texting the new families who visited. Checking on the members who didn't make it.
