My Shirt Says It All.
Today’s post was inspired by my shirt.
This statement applies to how I spend my time, who I work with, and the environment I allow around me.
One of the reasons I enjoy working from home is the ability to control my environment. There are no constant interruptions, office noise, or unnecessary distractions competing for my attention. Once the systems are in place, I can focus on the work that needs to be done and save my energy for meaningful conversations and collaborations.
Being self-employed has taught me also that every opportunity is not right for me. Just because a contract, partnership, or project looks good on paper doesn't mean it's worth accepting. I've learned to ask myself 1 simple question:
Will this add to or take away from my peace?
Clarity, flexibility, and peace of mind are valuable assets that don't show up on a balance sheet, but should have an impact on your decisions.
On this Thankful Thursday remember success is not only about what you gain but also what opportunities will support you having overall happiness and peace.
