🎉 BIG NEWS: the National Science Foundation just backed us with a Phase II SBIR grant, up to $2M over the next two years.
This is a highly distinguished award, following a successful Phase I grant that helped us build the platform we have today. Phase II funds what comes next: agentic architecture, assessment and student feedback systems, an on-demand classroom data analyst, 3-actor learning models (student-teacher-AI), and AI tutoring with real context on curriculum, student competencies, and specific assignments.
"Phase I proved that AI, built with effective pedagogical grounding, can outperform other tools in the market both in quality and through research on AI's impact on education," said Dr. Min Sun, co-founder and CEO. "Phase II is about expanding today’s agentic abilities and our disciplined research-based approach as well as selecting districts who have specific requests for AI features that they want developed."
The grant means we can focus on research, co-design with K-12 stakeholders, extensive evaluation, thorough testing with school district alphas and betas, and better interoperability.
📣 We are actively seeking district partners with requests for new AI features and tools willing to co-develop under the grant as well, with options for additional funds up to $250K!!
Who doesn't want that?!
