Collection of happiness 🍌 🍎 🍑 🍅

Displaying fruit on my kitchen counter makes me feel comforted. I love seeing the bounty of delicious, sweet produce ready to be eaten, reassuring nourishment. It’s also a reminder of the hard work it took to make it. From the growers, to the years of trial and error to breed the perfect product, to the global economies impacted by its consumption. We are all connected in some way. And to think it was a simple photograph of fruit.

Baby Octopus 🐙

Marinated in white wine, potato starch, and sea salt so it’s tender when cooked. I eat about a 70%-80% Whole Foods plant based diet, but when I do eat animal protein, I try to prepare it myself so I know what’s in it. I’m working to increase the % of wfpb meals so I feel better/ stronger and I can make more positive contributions to my community. I’m at the end of my Infradian Cycle 🩸 and it was a tough one. Lots of changes going on in my life. They’re all positive, but change always requires adaptation, so healthy habits will help keep my body and mind agile and cup full so I can keep showing up.
