It’s been a few years since I did much silverware jewelry and I’m trying to up my game a little bit. Learning how to silver solder is super helpful!

I have no patience with making Damascus steel, so I bought a chunk from Alabama Damascus and forged this for a customer. The handle is bubinga (Thank you, Jay Murphy) and the guard is blued Damascus steel as well. This one is spoken for, but a similar one is in the works as we speak!

This was a little different. The customer wanted something sharp, yet very flexible. I can’t really compete in the oyster knife market when very effective blades are cheap and plentiful, but every once in a while somebody wants something fancy! The handle is Purple Heart sandwiched between two layers of Brazilian rosewood.

Just finished the last 4 blades for sale at the Wildflowers Music Festival this weekend.
