It can happen. Just need luck and persistence!

This might be the wildest Bitcoin mining story of the year.

There is a guy on Reddit named u/EightofSpace. Regular guy. Lives in a regular house. Has a few small Bitcoin miners sitting in what looks like his living room. In the last seven months, he has done something the entire mining industry says should be nearly impossible.

He has found two Bitcoin blocks. Solo. By himself. On two completely different machines.

Back in October, his NerdQAxe++ rig hit block 920,440. Reward: 3.141 BTC, worth about $347,000 at the time. His total hardware cost was around $3,000. He made over 100 times his money back in a single moment. The story went viral.

Last night, he did it again. Block 948,146. This time on his Avalon Q. Another 3.14 BTC, roughly $252,000 at today's price.

Here is why this is genuinely insane.

The Avalon Q runs at 90 terahashes per second. Against the global Bitcoin network, that gives it a 1 in 10,536,351 chance of finding any given block. The expected time for a single Avalon Q to find one block, statistically, is around 200 years. He has been running his for about seven months.

For comparison, your odds of winning the Powerball jackpot with a single ticket are 1 in 292,201,338. His Avalon Q has roughly 28 times better odds than a Powerball ticket. That is still nearly impossible. He hit it anyway. After already hitting one with a much smaller miner seven months earlier.

Total haul across both blocks is around $599,000 in Bitcoin. From a setup that cost a few thousand dollars. From his living room.

This is the dream scenario for solo Bitcoin mining. The Bitcoin network does not care if you are an industrial farm with a billion dollars in equipment or a guy with a small box on his desk. Every guess is the same guess. Every block is the same block. Most of the time the big farms win because they have more guesses. Every once in a while, someone in a living room beats the odds.

This guy just did it twice.
