I gave my kid a basket of rocks to play with after dinner. Stunned, at her creation. I swear I did not alter this, I literally just found it!

I'm all about tapestries. That's right bucko, you frame it! Easier to bring a BIG piece home with you.

I can of course email you on how to hang and light my work, or you can take it to a professional. Then my friend you'll have a cool piece of art that reminds you of good times. 👍

What's not to love.

Anyway im fixin to create another light reactive piece like this one while we boogie the night away. I heard Strilly Bings was comin. See ya out there, hillbillies.

I've been having vivid dreams about my debut as an artist and instructor at Hillberry Music Festival . There's SO much to do to get ready, I haven't shown up like this in a couple years, so I need a killer display that inspires AND sells. I will be creating a few prints this year using linocut design.
I also want to create more custom apparel using stencils, holographic and glow in the dark vinyl. My goal to create sustainable clothing is a factor that limits me somewhat. I feel like people want new clothes, not reused and repurposed stuff. But I genuinely LOVE thrifting and altering.
Anyway, thanks for reading and let me know if you're gonna be there... make sure to stop by the gallery and attend some workshops. There will be lots of other instructors sharing their skills and expertise at this event. Pic of one of my design

Greetings, Earthlings.

I am offering a free paint party as a treat for Halloween.

All you need is black canvas or paper, a plate and a white paint marker.

In this 30 minute workshop, I break down my design into simple half circles and lines, and explain some basic anatomy shapes.

It's taken me a while, coming to terms with the loss of my uncle Al. He was in my life from a young age and it was clear he adored us. Til the mid 90's he lived in Columbia, worked at Boone Hospital and lived off William Street, at the end of the gravel cul de sac. He always grew a vegetable garden and canned vegetable soup starter. He recorded cable TV cartoons and Christmas specials for us onto VHS tapes. Everything he cooked was touched by God. One simply never missed a bowl of his vegetable beef stew the night before Thanksgiving. His ham and beans always slapped.

The dude lived in a hand built cabin on his mom's land, the core of which was my grandfathers one room tiny home, which he had moved to the property. I never met grandpa Chapman, he was a migrant farm worker and somewhat of a vagrant in his later life. He taught Al how to jump on trains in Marshall and travel to other cities like Topeka. Al had an extensive music collection on vinyl and CD's.

Family tradition was sacred to Al. As his health and mobility declined, we saw less and less of him. You had to hang with him at the cabin, which features a woodstove and decades of cigar smoke. We miss him dearly, he was the youngest of seven. He left me a gorgeous piece in the last picture, it's by , a visionary artist based in Hawaii. I will cherish it forever in his memory. He's survived by two sons, three sisters, two brothers, nine nieces and nephews, six great nieces and nephews. Rest in peace Al, you got to join the party in the sky.

My 2nd craft night was just some foaming hand soap. My friend brought some of her favorite oils from brambleberry.. it was intimate, the company and w**e was good! Had to pack up for Cosmic Kinection. Next month I want to workshop picnic/t-shirt blankets. I have one cut, and we could help get another one started, plus maybe a couple of simple ones depending how many machines we have.
