Look who’s spreading her wings! 🦋😍

A little more progress on this custom commission, and WOW, what a difference a little color makes!

I’m loving how those vibrant orange wings pop against the soft teals and purples. And that textured flower center is still one of my favorite details!

She’s really starting to come to life! Can’t wait to share the finished piece! 😊 Getting closer!!

Well, there’s no slowing down in the studio! 😂🎨

Fresh off finishing LIGHTKEEPER, I jumped right into my next custom commission!

This one features a beautiful monarch butterfly, which will always hold a special place in my heart. My family called my sister Ana our “Little Butterfly,” and every time I see a monarch flutter by, I can’t help but think of her. 🦋💜 So naturally, butterflies are always extra special to paint!

I’m already loving the colors and all that fun texture in the flower!

Here’s a little peek at how it all started. Can’t wait to show you how this one comes to life!

So, I had a whole post planned to show you how LIGHTKEEPER looks in different spaces… but this little sea sheep had other plans!

SHE SOLD before I could even post it!! 🎉

I couldn’t let these photos go to waste, though! I always love imagining my finished pieces in different rooms, and it’s so fun seeing how the vibrant greens, lavender, and touches of gold on this one bring a little personality to each of these spaces.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who voted, followed along, and helped bring our newest Creature Feature to life! And an extra special thank you to her new owner. I’m so excited she’s found her forever home! 🥰

What if I told you this tiny little sea sheep can carry the power of sunlight inside its body?!

The wait is over! Meet our newest Creature Feature, LIGHTKEEPER! ✨

Here’s something super cool about this little thing…

When a sea sheep eats algae, it actually keeps tiny parts of the algae called chloroplasts that can continue capturing energy from sunlight inside its body. In a sense, it’s a little solar powered machine, carrying light wherever it goes.

How incredible is that?! It got me thinking about the light we carry in our own lives.

Think about the people who have poured something good into your life. Someone who believed in you before you believed in yourself. A simple act of kindness you’ll never forget. Words of encouragement that still give you strength years later.

Those moments don’t just disappear. We carry little pieces of them with us, and they become part of who we are, how we love, how we grow, and how we treat others.

Sometimes, without even realizing it, we have the power to become the very light someone else needs.

Maybe that’s the most beautiful thing about this tiny creature. It reminds us that the good we take in doesn’t have to end with us. We have the choice to pass it on.

The light you carry may have come from someone else, but what you do with it is uniquely yours.

So keep shining. You never know whose world you’re making brighter. 💜

Available for purchase soon. More details to come!

Okay, I know some of you probably think I completely forgot about our little sea sheep! 😂🐑🌊

But have no fear! She’s still here, and I’ve been working on her behind the scenes!

I took a little pause from this piece to pour my heart into creating Eric’s memorial painting. ♥️ That was something incredibly special to me, and I’m so grateful for all the love and support you showed throughout it. Thank you to everyone who participated. It truly meant so much to the family.

With that painting complete, I’ve been finding my way back to this little creature, and she’s coming along beautifully!

I’ve made some great progress and can’t wait to share the final with you soon. For now, here are a few sneak peeks 😊💕

This piece was created in memory of my cousin Eric and inspired by so many of the things he loved. The outdoors, hunting, fishing, and now the bald eagle that holds such a special meaning for his family.

Day 3 of painting this piece in memory of my cousin, Eric. 🤍🦌

Tonight this one really started to come to life.

I spent more time bringing the deer forward, adding detail and warmth, and continuing to build the light and reflection through the water.

There is still more to do, but I’m starting to see the scene I had in my head when I first imagined this piece for him. 🤍

When it is finished, the original will be auctioned with 100% of the winning bid going directly to the GoFundMe supporting Eric’s family. Stay close for auction info coming soon.

A few more details, a little more depth, and we’re getting closer. 🤍
