9 years ago today I started my freelance business, which is perfect for a project update post to showcase some recent work I’ve done in my spare time over the last couple months of 2020.

I did my first portrait shoot in a while (since my sister’s senior photos), captured successful and halfway decent astrophotography (compared to my failed attempt at Ft. Irwin circa 2012), designed the cover for my boyfriend’s debut album and had it custom made into vinyl and golden record display for his birthday. It was a lot of creative work spanning multiple mediums and it was an invigorating learning/relearning experience that broke an art drought for me.

I’ve been enjoying finding the opportunities to flex more of my creative muscles for a couple pet projects, both work and leisure, in the last couple months.

I even dusted off the ole DSLR to do a desert portrait photoshoot and try my hand at astrophotography. It’s been 5-6 years since I did some photography, much less a golden hour photoshoot on manual settings heh—I actually pleasantly surprised myself with the shots captured and just might get back into it.

Here’s a little teaser of behind the scenes and a couple of photos I took for Jim’s upcoming music release. More to follow, so stay tuned. :)

It's been a while since my last post here...I hope everyone is well during these trying times!

My partner gifted me a new tablet + accessories over the holidays and we finally have a creative studio space set up, so I've started drawing again. The equipment upgrade combined with the current work from home conditions has kickstarted my creative motivation.

Here's a quick little freelance project I knocked out during downtime from my day job. Check out the timelapse video below! The process is so much faster and less frustrating than working with my old tablet! 😁
