We received a question about recycling computers and monitors. Although it depends on location, Goodwill takes them. You csn also post free on craigslist, fb buy nothing groups and nextdoor.

NEW email phishing . Criteria looks something like this: (a) sender is known to you, (b) subject is an invitation to a party or memorial service, etc. (c) email includes a credible-looking Evite link, (d) the "Evite" leads to a login screen to your Gmail (!) account. If you input your Gmail ID and password, then (e) the email is forwarded to some subset of your contacts, and (f) a pernicious .EXE is downloaded to your device. If your device is a Windows PC, the executable installs a program enabling remote access to your PC! There are variations on this scam model.
If you're not sure about an email please create a new email and ask the sender if they sent it to you. If they say no, change your password and have them change theirs. Happy computing!
