Every now and then you meet someone and just know they are your people, right off the bat. That's how I felt about Lacey. After the loss of her sweet son Ryker at 37 weeks, she and her husband turned their grief into helping others by founding Ryker's Rainbow-- a nonprofit group that supports families experiencing child loss through "blessing boxes," special events, and new community garden on Drake.
The need for such an organization is widespread, and I have seen firsthand the difference it has made in the lives of dear friends.
It was such an honor to create this piece for this year's Five Candles Dinner of Remembrance. As much as the artwork means to me, it's the names on the other side of the print that are most important. We say the names of these babies and children, and remember them
