New carving for ! 🎃 Here’s an original composition I carved for the local Farmers Market in historic this season.… I wanted to pay tribute to the local farms and scenic landscape of the region in an artistic fashion, so an illustrative pastoral scene featuring rolling hills came to mind. Loved drawing in all the details! Can you spot all the farm animals in the vista? 🐖🐄🐑

New carvings alert! 🎃 Here are two of my latest pieces, created at the annual Mum Festival. I’m always Inspired by the rolling hills and vibrant chrysanthemums of the event’s home base in Seamon Park, so love creating scenes inspired by nature for the festival.

Carving a fox has been on my bucket list and was the perfect fit for the first carve! 🦊🌙 I composited a custom stencil with a moon and stars for a Halloween/twilight feel. I ended up having time for a second carving so decided to freehand a drawing of a person surrounded by natural elements. After carving the fox, I really just wanted to keep drawing details and my first thought was to illustrate long hair in the wind. 🪶☁️

Catch Day 2 today from 10am-5pm to snack on garlicky foods, shop 100s of vendors, and enjoy live demonstrations and performances from local artists, chefs and more! I’ll be doing live demonstrations outside the lecture tent all day 🎃

This weekend! Catch my first live demos of the year at the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival in scenic Saugerties, NY 🎃🍁

The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival is right around the corner! Advance discount tickets are available through Friday (Sept 26th) night on line at HVGF.org, all Adams Fairacre Farm Stores, Smith Hardware, all Sawyer Savings Banks and at M&T Bank in Saugerties. FYI: per town law, no dogs are allowed at our site Cantine Field. For more information and lists of our 2025 vendors, please go to HVGF.org. Admission at the gate is $15.00 for all except kids under 12. See you there!!

That’s a wrap on the October rush.. and what an exciting season it’s been!! 🧡 I’m so thankful for all the new adventures and fun challenges that this year surprised me with, and for this community that keeps inspiring me. I already have a list of things I want to try out next year.

(“Family photo” with my first batch of display carvings that kicked off this carving season, taken at the Mum Festival. The 3rd one in the line-up had been around the longest & was 1.5 weeks old at the time, but holding up great! Which one is your favorite? 🎃)
