Two systems. Two completely different sets of assumptions. And increasingly, one network.
IT/OT convergence gets talked about as an org-chart problem — getting IT and operations teams to collaborate. That's real, but it's the easy part.
The harder part is technical: IT systems and OT systems were built for fundamentally different worlds, and when they converge without deliberate architecture, you inherit the risk of both and the resilience of neither.
