Here's my other skate deck for the last Insomnia Gallery show! Swipe through for some process photos.

I digitally sculpted these eyes and 3d printed them, sanded them down a little bit and attached them with nails and hot glue. I try and always have a physical and chemical bond as much as possible when building things. Once those were in place I stapled wiring to use as an armature for foam clay, this helps keep it on the actual board. I filled any gaps I left in the clay with painters silicone and primed the whole thing with Rust-Oleum primer filler, this stuff is great for 3d prints. I taped the eyes out, painted the flesh, painted the eyes and then hit it all with a varnish.

Then I couldn't help myself and had to attach lights to the back to make it even crazier.

This one is still available, but I won't be heartbroken if I have to keep it. 😉

"Gummie" Is one of the decks I finished for the last show with Insomnia Gallery at Hardy & Nance Studios. I'm having a blast trying new things and finding ways to bring my creations to life. This was made with a lot of trial and error and a combination of air dry clay, spackle, caulk and foam clay.

Last one of this set! Now I just need to do some dang markets!!
