I need to get something off my chest, when I’m told…
“So and so would charge way less for the same thing”
Let’s have THAT conversation.
You do not have to use me. By all means go cheaper🤷🏻♀️
And before somebody gets offended, hear me out.
I KNOW you want the sale.
I KNOW you’re thinking “That’s too expensive”
You may think chewing me down for a better price is good on your end, but it’s a little disrespectful to me. Yes I know I can make it cheaper, but why should I?

Let me ask you something…
WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY COST ME TO MAKE THAT $26 PRODUCT? 🤔
Not just the shirt.
I’m talkng:
✨ Blank
✨ DTF transfer
✨ Ink
✨ Supplies
✨ Packaging
✨ Equipment
✨ Electricity
✨ Software
✨ Fees
✨ Taxes
✨ MY time
✨ MY labor
✨ MY SKILL
✨ MY creativity
✨ MY experience
Now subtract ALL of that from the $26
What did I actually make?
Because if I spent $10+ to make it and sold it for $26…
I didn’t “make $16.”
I made a whole lot of work for $16. 😭😂
And THIS is where underpricing becomes a problem.
Because when business owners constantly charge prices that barely cover their costs, customers start thinking THAT is what everything should cost.
Then the business owner who actually calculated their expenses, pays themselves, covers overhead, saves for taxes, replaces equipment AND wants to make a profit gets hit with:
“Whew… that’s expensive.” Or “I can get it for less some where else.”😩
Ummm NO
That’s called PRICING A BUSINESS. 😂
My business is not a charity.
My business is not Walmart.
My business is not Amazon.
And respectfully… mh business cannot survive on “at least I got the sale.” 😭
Because SALES doesn’t equal PROFIT.
I can have 50 orders on your table and still be BROKE.
I can be booked every single week and still not have enough money to replace your equipment.
I can have hundreds of customers and still be pulling money out of our personal account to pay business expenses. And if my pricing ONLY works when I’m constantly booked?
🚨 THEN CHEAPER/SALE PRICING DOESN’T WORK. 🚨
Because what happens when I have a slow week?
What happens when orders slow down?
What happens when my printer decides it wants to act possessed?
AND TRUST ME IT DOES MORE THAN ID LIKE
What happens when supplies go up?
What happens when I have an unexpected business expense?
Can MY business handle it?
Or are YOU constantly rescuing your business with money from your personal pocket?
That’s the part nobody talks about.
We get so focused on getting orders that we forget the whole point of having a BUSINESS is to make money.
Not just stay busy.
Not just look booked.
Not just say “I sold 100 shirts this month.”
PROFIT. 💰
I’ll charge what my work actually requires.
I’m not charging for “just a shirt.”
I’m charging for everything that goes into getting that shirt from an idea to a finished product.
My time matters.
My skill matters.
My experience matters.
My supplies matter.
My overhead matters.
AND YES… I DESERVE TO GET PAID. 🗣️
So before you ask me to lower my price just to make somebody happy, I have to ask myself:
“Can my business actually survive at this price?”
Because being the cheapest might get me a customer…
…but PROFIT is what keeps you in business. 💰
And if my pricing makes everybody happy EXCEPT the person running the business AKA ME….
SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT!!
I know my numbers.
Know my costs.
I have to pay myself.
👏🏻👏🏻PRICE FOR PROFIT.👏🏻👏🏻
Because I do not plan to work long hours away from my family on my feet for minimum pay, to get any orders out.
Thank you for the support you’ve given me this far!
