One of the joys of my life is walking in the doors of Pronio’s Market and smelling the foods that I remember as a little boy running errands for my grandmother. I had the privilege to shoot a tribute film that tells the story of the Pronio Family who for 100 years has unified the community and given so much to the town of Hershey. Our latest project has been on the back burner for many years. In fact, when the closures started in 2020, there was a sense of relief we would have time to dedicate so it was a polished project.

Pieno di Grazia (Full of Grace) is a cookbook comprised of my grandmother Mary's recipes. I spent years with her learning and practicing our family's Italian recipes for decades.

Her recipes represent the chronological journey of Italian-Americans from her home village of Pitigliano in Tuscany in the late 1800s to Hershey, Pennsylvania where Italians settled to work for Milton Hershey in the early 1900s.

Her hometown of Pitigliano is known as Little Jerusalem, home to a population of Jewish Italians who greatly influenced the regional cuisine of this area of Italy, which is another unique layer to this collection of recipes.

Thirty-six years ago, I started typing her recipes and practicing the recipes with her. The result is approximately 180-200 pages of recipes including photographs. I gave particular emphasis to several traditional recipes which she prepared most often; especially for holidays and celebrations.

For the past few months, we have been writing, cooking, and photographing my grandmother Mary’s recipes for a cooking titled Pieno do Grazia (Full of Grace). It is an incredible amount of work, but deeply rewarding recreating all of the dishes she taught me many years later. Hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend.

Just finished rebuilding this 80 year old fishing reel that belonged to my grandfather. Running fresh line through it to take to the streams he used to fish is an emotional moment. These are screenshots - filming this story to make a film about retracing his steps and fishing the same places. All with his equipment that is over 70 years old.

One of our favorite clients and friends made a NYC theme in his apt centered around one of my paintings. So nice to see. After 2 years of writing and researching, we held our first Table Read for the Granada Tigers Script last night.
Special thanks to Dylan, Joseph, Brendan, and Ken for going through all 120 pages. Back to make more edits

Logline: A tight knit band of Italian boys venture off into a world of adventure and mischief. Only to clash with a group of rural boys who are fiercely determined to make their lives hell. When the boys refuse to back down, the results spark an unexpected string of events.
