Most campus jobs teach students to show up on time. This one teaches them to run a business.

That's the idea behind the RecRe Manager model. Students don't just staff a box, they operate it: marketing the gear, reading the usage data, managing inventory, surveying their peers, and owning the KPIs. A real operation with real stakes, which is exactly why the learning sticks.

Experiential learning is having a moment for a reason. It turns students from passive participants into active operators, and builds the digital literacy and problem-solving skills every employer now expects.

30% of all RecRe rentals happen between 10pm and 2am. Think about what that means.

Nearly a third of all student engagement on the RecRe platform happens after the rec center closes, after the student union dims the lights, after the staff goes home.

Students don't stop wanting things to do just because your facilities close.

The campuses that put RecRe boxes in spaces that stay accessible late are seeing engagement numbers that everyone else is trying to manufacture with programming.

Late-night access isn't a nice-to-have. For a meaningful chunk of your student body, it's the only access that works.

Your campus probably has beautiful outdoor courts, fields, and green space. The real question is how often they actually get used.

Turns out the barrier usually isn't interest, it's access. When the gear lives clear across campus, students skip the trip. Put it right at the space and available around the clock, and those quiet corners start to come alive.

Round two in Hattiesburg! 🦅

The University of Southern Mississippi has officially expanded its RecRe footprint with a second RecRe box - this time in the R.C. Cook Union Game Room.

More than just another location, this new box unlocks a whole new level of student engagement. Between rounds of pool, ping pong, and everything else the game room has to offer, students now have instant access to games and activities that keep the fun going.

That's what makes expansion so exciting. It's not just about adding another box. It's about creating new moments, reaching new students, and making campus spaces even more vibrant!!
