It’s been a while since I’ve made anything other than ceramics but I dug out the dip pen and got the brain moving a bit. I forgot how lovely ink can be. Time to get to work for the season.

Here’s a little corvid doodle to feed the algorithm.

Oh, and opens for the season on May 30! We’ll have live music from Creosote, a gallery full of new art, sips, snacks, and a bunch of artists to hang out with!

There aren’t enough words to thank everyone who joined us for We are the Watershed this weekend. So many talented, thoughtful, motivated, and kind people made this event something truly special. We had incredible conversations about creativity and conservation, grief and hope, and connection.

Thanks to Bethany Pohl, Shaun Haskins, Chief Akagi, Matt Abbott, Geo Neptune, Eric Altvater, Kim Reeder, Don Sprangers, Paula Horvath, Lura Jackson, Jude Kempe, Cathy & Tom Adelman, Glenn Page, Savannah Deer, Robin Hadlock Seeley, the Thunderbird Women (the cool kids who let me hang out) and to all the organizations and people who have been showing up for months, the students, schools, and community members who shared their voices, poetry and art, and to everyone who joined us for the day. Also huge thanks to Dave Ross for always jumping in to help and just being the best. I’m sure there are folks I’ve missed but know that if you showed up we are grateful for it.

I've collected a solid little pile of small and medium bud vases that will al be available this Sunday Cobscook Institute for the Maine Pottery Tour from 10-4.

There will be raku, carving and throwing demonstrations, along with lots of works for sale and some giveaways for those who come early!

Our deadline is fast approaching to be a part of the We are the Watershed art show. Artwork drop off is tomorrow at the Eastport Arts Center from 11 to 1.
