Now is not the time for performative activism and slapping rainbows on everything and calling it a day.
(CW below: transphobia)

Trans people are terrified. They are being forced to detransition in some states. Trans kids are legally being taken away from their affirming parents. Healthcare can be denied to any LGBTQ+ patients in most states. Starting July 1st in Florida, you can go to jail for up to a year if you’re reported for using the bathroom that aligns with your gender identity. “Don’t say gay” bills have been proposed in more than a dozen states.

Most people don’t have the privilege of moving to a more inclusive state. And where do we go if everywhere but 4 states has introduced anti-trans legislation in the last year?

So speak up and get loud. Be annoying. Don’t stop. (Especially you Allygators!).

Don’t let apathy win. Don’t become complacent in human rights violations and systemic oppression.

Let’s not normalize what is happening because that’s exactly what allows these hateful bills to move forward.

Act before these things become law.

Third picture: I drew it on a t shirt with fabric crayola markers for myself shortly after I came out 🏳️‍🌈
Second pic: refined the design and made it into a block print and started selling it on Make My Gay!
First pic: our new design!!! I wanted to emulate that same feeling from the first time I drew it and capture a Nickelodeon vibe 🍓
