Payment is required for ALL projects BEFORE I start - this is NOT something new.
Why?
Short answer, everything I make is custom.
Long answer, every piece is handmade. Starting at designing in a program to Handcut on a Scroll Saw, sanded, hand sanded, shaped, primed, painted, sealed and glued on and every other thing in between that most people don't even know what it means. The process to make these signs takes HOURS upon HOURS in total. The process is not short, cutting out a SINGLE word on my scroll saw can take an hour. This is a learned skill, one that I have taken much time to learn that most people don't understand until you see the process yourself. Every single piece I've made thus far has been custom. Custom items cannot be reused or resold to someone else. They are CUSTOM. I understand the cost of the signs I make are not cheap, but there is a ton of work that goes into them that you do not see.
I have never and will never create a sign without payment first, I offer payment plans as I always have because I understand this is generally an investment.
I will also be requiring a small deposit prior to creating a mock up. I have designed at LEAST 10 signs for potential customers for them to not go through with an order at all, these mock ups can take anywhere from 1-5 hours to create depending on the design. I design multiple options and perfect the design to customers liking every single time. If you end up ordering, your design deposit will go towards your total cost.
