In the middle of the rides and fair food, take a break to go enjoy the art exhibits at this year's Lodi Grape Festival ☺️ Your art friends will thank you!
This year I have three pieces in the show:
"Off the Path"
"Aura"
"Time Watches Us: Fall"

I took the photo of the fair at the Grape Festival in 2021 when my husband and I were WAY up on the larger Ferris wheel, looking down on the entire fairgrounds.

Special artist notes: "Aura" is drawn with colored pencil on Strathmore toned black paper, a favorite paper of mine since drawing on it is like drawing in reverse-you pull the light from the darkness instead of adding color to blank white space. "Time Watches Us: Fall" is from a series I created for my last show at the Lodi Art Center, where I explored the idea of time watching us pass it by instead of us feeling that time is passing us by.

🎨 Come see what happens in the studio!

For one weekend every fall, Lodi area artists open their doors. Lodi Open Studios Tour is coming up on Saturday, October 17 & Sunday, October 18, from 11 AM–4 PM.

I am excited to be at 's house once again. Come out to my corner studio and enjoy a celebration of fall, magic, and color. I'll have originals, prints, greeting cards plus hand drawn one of a kinds for Christmas, stickers, and more 🥳🍂🎃🎨

I thought I'd share these three different pieces. One floral, one fantastical, and one semi abstract. They are only about 3 years apart.
I drew "Rose Dance" from a photo I took, "Psyche" emerged from images percolating in my subconscious, and "Loss" was painted after several losses in my life.

Thank you EVERYONE who came out to last night's Art Hop. It was over 100° and the humidity felt like 40% at least. I took the fewest amount of photos ever at this event!
But I managed to capture me and Sarah (thank you for giving my print of "Witch Homestead" a great home!), and a quick video of my shared booth with 🙌🏻 Caught in the video is work by Allison Gerrity and Kathy Hall Fraser.
