Quick heads up for Fort Worth business owners. There is a scam going around: someone calls or texts an employee's personal phone, says they are from your IT department, and says their Microsoft login or passkey needs updating right away. It is convincing, and it gets around the multi-factor login most people assume keeps them safe.

The simplest defense costs nothing. Real IT will never call your cell and walk you through changing your login on a texted link. Hang up and call the number you already have. What to check: https://itidfw.com/blog/passkey-phishing-microsoft-365-fort-worth/

Storm season in Fort Worth means the occasional flicker, surge, or full outage rolling through the metroplex. Here is the question most owners do not think about until it happens: when the power comes back, does everything come back with it?

The server, the phones, the internet, the backups that are supposed to be running. Plenty of setups come back up crooked after an outage and nobody notices until someone needs a file.

A few minutes checking your battery backups and your restore process now beats finding the gap in the dark. Local team, Fort Worth, since 2003. (817) 808-1816.

If you are a Fort Worth business owner shopping for an IT company, three questions are worth asking before you sign anything.

Who actually answers when I call, and are they local? When something breaks you want a real person who knows your setup, not a phone tree routed overseas.

Is pricing flat per user, or does every little thing turn into a surprise line item?

How fast do critical security patches get deployed after Microsoft releases them, and what is your current number?

Vague answers tell you something. We have been doing this in Fort Worth since 2003. (817) 808-1816.

For Fort Worth law firms and accounting practices, IT has one job: work quietly so you can do yours. Nobody at a firm wants to think about the network. They want to open the file, print the document, and get back to the client.

The catch is that the stuff running quietly in the background is also what holds your client financials, case files, and tax returns. Set up right, you never think about it. Set up wrong, you think about nothing else.

If your firm just wants technology that stays out of the way, we have been doing this since 2003. One local number to call. (817) 808-1816.

Quick one for Fort Worth business owners. Your IT company probably installed software on every computer in your office to fix things remotely. This week a serious flaw in one of those tools landed on the federal exploited-vulnerabilities list. Not a reason to panic, but worth asking your provider how that software is locked down and who can log in. We broke it down in plain language, including what to ask.

A critical N-central flaw spotlighted the remote tools IT providers run on your network. What Fort Worth businesses should ask about that software.

Quick one for Fort Worth business owners.

If your team shares a login for the bookkeeping software, the shipping account, or the company social pages, and that password lives in a spreadsheet or on a sticky note, you have a problem waiting to happen. When someone leaves, that password walks out with them, and usually nobody changes it.

A password manager fixes most of this. Everyone gets their own secure access, you can see who has what, and you can cut one person off without resetting the world. (817) 808-1816.

Quick one for Fort Worth healthcare practices.

A 2026 Wolters Kluwer survey found about 40% of hospitals already have unsanctioned AI tools in use, and roughly one in ten clinical staff admit to using a personal AI tool on real patient information.

Nobody is being reckless. People are just trying to get through the day. But the moment patient data lands in a consumer AI account with no BAA, it is a HIPAA problem.

We run free Shadow AI audits for Fort Worth practices. We scan your Microsoft 365, find every AI tool touching your data, and hand you the report. No sales pitch. (817) 808-1816.

Quick one for Fort Worth practice owners and office managers.

When the EHR goes down, it is usually not the EHR that broke. More often it is a switch, a lab interface, or an expired certificate, while the EHR is still technically online. That is why healthcare IT is a different job than general IT. It has to cover every point where a clinic actually stops working, plus the security that comes with patient data.

Here is what healthcare IT should really cover for a Fort Worth practice:

What healthcare IT services cover for Fort Worth medical practices, from EHR uptime to security, and how to tell real managed IT from a monthly bill.

There was a report this week about criminals pointing AI tools at businesses to move faster: writing the malware, digging through stolen files, even deciding the ransom.

Here is the flip side most Fort Worth owners miss. The same kind of AI is probably already inside your business, connected by employees who were just trying to work faster. Nobody malicious. Just nobody managing it.

Through the end of September we are running free Shadow AI audits for Fort Worth businesses. We scan your Microsoft 365, find every AI app with access to your accounts, and hand you the report. No sales pitch.

Quick heads up for Fort Worth business owners. If you still have computers running Windows 10, those stopped getting security updates back in October 2025. They still turn on and work fine, which is why it is easy to miss.

You do not need to panic buy new PCs this month. But you do need a plan, because some older machines cannot upgrade to Windows 11, and Microsoft's paid stopgap gets more expensive every year.

We broke down the options for local businesses. Questions? Call us at (817) 808-1816.

Windows 10 support ended in 2025. What Fort Worth businesses need to know about ESU costs, Windows 11 migration, and how to plan the move.
