02/13/22 — How cute is this Tote Bag? Pattern design may become my new obsession! Who doesn’t want to see their artwork on ALL THE THINGS? Setting up all of the mockups for this project definitely made me excited to see my work on real life items.

02/12/22 — I saw Spoonflower’s “Pockets Design Challenge” and was instantly inspired. I wanted to create a pattern with a natural and nostalgic feel and “Pocket Full of Posies” is what I came up with. Nothing seems more nostalgic for a midwest girl than denim and flowers. I wanted the color palette to reflect that same nostalgia so I went with a soft primary triadic scheme. I’m really excited to build a collection around this pattern and hope to add them all to my Spoonflower Account.

01/22/22 — I had fun with this week’s prompt from , but it did take me longer than I anticipated. I wanted to capture the silkiness of the word milki as well as representing the origins of so I pulled my from an image of the fruit of a cacao tree, then drew a bold, flowing, silky . I knew I wanted simple and elegant black and white drawings to contrast agains the bold pattern, so I drew studies of the cacao pods and leaves using . Then I moved onto the logo. I knew I wanted something fluid and simple. After searching for the right font, I found a few close, but just didn’t LOVE any of them, so using a couple as reference, I hand drew the logo in procreate. I’m very pleased with how it all came together.

01/03/22 — I had so much fun creating this style board for my rebrand. I wanted to keep the color scheme fresh while incorporating a timeless feel, so I went with a stamped and offset look of the icons and logos. But my absolute favorite is the dripping “inkberri”… it’s literally dripping with creativity! 😆🤓
