Current AI just plays the greatest hits of what it’s seen before.

I keep thinking about this:

If you gave a kid the exact steps to solve a puzzle… and they still failed, wouldn’t you wonder if something deeper was missing?

Apple’s new paper shows that’s exactly what’s happening with today’s most advanced AI models.

They don’t think. They mimic.
