Finished! And just in time for

The film that started me on this road of illustrating posters with one I did WAAAY back in 2000. This new one brings me full circle and pays much more homage to this amazing film. Thanks, everyone!

Looks like has unceremoniously BANNED (a huge crowd pleaser at this event and pillar of the south end and Tacoma BIPOC community) from attending their annual BIPOC market… a show she has done for years.

And the “reason”? A baseless claim about a labeling error on her baked goods FROM A YEAR AGO. A LABELING ERROR. No one got hurt. Nothing happened. But some obviously racist voices got too loud for their poor widdle ears and they caved to the will of a few.

And all of this on the heels of a post from Queen Sugar a couple of weeks ago that WENT VIRAL about the underlying racism towards black women in this general area. Hmmm… is it really about bu****it packaging errors or does this go deeper? I think we all know the answer to that.

They’re also deleting comments of anyone who dares to call them out on it. Spend your time and money elsewhere and avoid this market.

Shane on you, Annie Wright. Either everyone is invited or no one is.

Finally finished! The people requested it, and I have answered the call. One of the most beautiful and underrated films of not just the 90s, but possibly ever. A modern sci fi noir that was far ahead of its time and is still one of my favorites of the decade. I’ll have them in my shop soon. Thanks, everyone!

Holy hell… I’ve been burning the candle at both ends lately… and even a few places in the middle 😅

But this poster has been one of those labors of love that I just couldn’t put down. Every spare moment for the last week has been playing around with this thing. It’s one of those rare joys people just can’t put into words. The way a marathon runner gets an adrenaline and dopamine boost, the same can be said for artists sometimes.

The comic was one of my first loves and (despite it being nothing like the comic) the movie holds a special place in my heart with all its 90s insanity and flair. Plus, Lori Petty is a bad ass. As usual, this thing is chocked with every little detail from the flick… and even a few from the comic that I had to throw in there.

So, just in time for Rose City, I’ll debut my newest poster. Thanks, everyone! 🤘🏻🍺🤘🏻
