Very close to being done with this one! This mesa is situated near the terminus of the ancient "Great North Road" that begins at Chaco Canyon. It's important in the creation stories of the Navajo people, and must also be a landmark for Pueblo people, though I am not familiar with those stories. I'm just fortunate to get to see it on a regular basis.

Making a little progress on this one. This mesa is a sacred site to the Diné people of the Four Corners. I'm trying get at least a tiny bit of that feeling into the paint.

Almost done. This is the steeple of a little church in Navajo Dam, New Mexico.

Calling this one "Chaco Moon". The movements of the sun and moon were closely tracked by the ancient inhabitants of Chaco Canyon. 11"x14". Come and see this piece in Farmington NM starting next week.

More progress on this depiction of a rock outcrop here in New Mexico. Painting the sky is often my favorite part of the process!

Work in progress. This is an early 20th century adobe church in northwest New Mexico. I haven't done much in the way of architectural paintings. This one is turning out to be a fun challenge.
