AI can sound right. And be wrong. Boo! 🧟

That’s what we call an AI hallucination: when AI generates information that’s inaccurate or made up but presents it as fact.

How does it happen? AI generates responses based on patterns it has learned. It can produce a plausible answer without accurately grounding it in facts, sometimes inventing details or even sources along the way.

Our next Cybersecurity Awareness Month monster has a reminder: when using AI, use your braaaains.

Verify important information, check that sources exist and support the answer, and don’t mistake confidence for accuracy.

From interns to full-time employees!👏

We recently attended the Fall IT Career Fair at Metropolitan Community College, and we had a pretty great story to share with students considering a career in technology.

Congratulations to Steven, our September Field Employee of the Month!

Steven really stepped up when the team needed him. He took on new responsibilities, worked through situations he hadn’t encountered before, and did what needed to be done to keep projects moving forward.

Steven has significantly grown his technical knowledge, communication skills, and confidence. He even volunteered to work late on several occasions to help keep projects on schedule and meet customer commitments.

Steven is a great example of what it means to Own It and stay Growth Minded, and he’s well on his way toward his goal of becoming a Lead Technician.

Let Cybersecurity Awareness Month commence!

We’ve heard the cybersecurity basics on repeat (and if you haven’t, here they are):

- Use strong passwords.
- Turn on MFA.
- Use a VPN.
- Don’t click suspicious links.

But AI has introduced a whole new set of cybersecurity questions, especially when it comes to how we’re using AI and what company data we’re putting into it.

So, how confident are you in knowing what company information is safe to share with AI tools?

We recently held our annual dodgeball tourney! There were losers, there were winners, but most importantly, there was team building. You just don’t realize how close you are to your teammates until they throw a ball at your face. What a bond.

The superstars of our organization are onsite 95% of the time, assisting our clients and executing installations to perfection. During the 5% of the time they’re in the office, they’re usually meeting to share updates, learn new things, and solve problems.

That means we don’t often get to steal a little of their time between the office and a job site. This was a rare
occasion!

What we posed as a simple get-to-know-you, we turned into a Q&A Switch-Up: Tech Edition!
