🎉🎉 Be Pro Be Proud Texas is officially here!

This Workforce Development Month, Meta helped bring Be Pro Be Proud to Texas making it the third statewide chapter after Tennessee and New Mexico. The launch kicks off a joint 10-stop tour celebrating BPBP's 10th anniversary across our data center communities.

There's no better place to start than Texas, where we've invested $12B across our Fort Worth, Temple, and El Paso sites, work brought to life by 6,000+ construction workers since 2020. Through the Mobile Workshop, Texas students will get hands-on with the trades that build and operate the data centers powering America's AI future, exploring 16+ construction-ready career pathways through VR and equipment simulators.

We're proud to help build the talent pipeline in our communities.

As a proud new neighbor in El Paso, we want to invest in what makes this community strong: its schools, its nonprofits, and the local organizations working every day to make this a great place to live and work.

That's why we're glad to introduce the Future is for Everyone Fund. It's Meta's $1 billion commitment to invest directly in the U.S. communities that host a Meta data center, and starting now, organizations in El Paso can apply.

What is it? The Fund awards grants to local projects and organizations across four focus areas:

* Community Enhancement: the shared spaces and services that bring people together, from parks, trails, and gathering places to connectivity and support for first responders like police, firefighters, and paramedics.

* Economic Vitality: supporting the people and organizations that power local economies — helping workers gain the skills, certifications, and hands-on experience the modern economy rewards, and backing initiatives that create jobs and give a community its character.

* Education: programs, tools, and spaces that help learners of every age discover what they're capable of, from early literacy and the arts to hands-on science and technology, plus resources for the educators who make it happen.

* Sustainability: caring for the land, water, and wildlife that make this area home, including habitat restoration and conservation that connect people to the natural world.

Big one to celebrate this year! Be Pro Be Proud is turning 10! For a whole decade, using hands-on simulators and Meta Quest headsets to bring technical careers to life, they've been showing students that a career in the skilled trades is something to be proud of, and we couldn't agree more. To mark the milestone, we're teaming with BPBP for ten special events across our data center communities – including September's launch of Be Pro Be Proud Texas!

One of those moments came at the Be Pro Be Proud National Conference, where we were honored to be part of a conversation about how training, technology, and real career exposure come together to open doors for people in the communities we live and work in. We were happy to speak to a full house of 100+ workforce development and education leaders, employers, and policy makers from 15+ states! 🔧⚡🏗️

🏗️ America's Workforce Academy — the largest private-sector skilled trades commitment in American history: paid training that leads to an industry-recognized credential and a guaranteed job for graduates.

🥽 AI Glasses Impact Grants — Wearable technology delivering guided workflows and real-time expert access on the job site

Our partnership has already engaged ~70,000 students nationwide through statewide support in Tennessee and New Mexico and in data center communities in Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio. Saturday, our team had the honor of taking part in the Homes for Our Troops key ceremony here in El Paso. 💙

We presented a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses to Staff Sergeant Pascual Delgado -- an El Paso Army veteran who answered the call after 9/11 and was medically discharged after losing his vision to multiple sclerosis. The glasses are about helping him regain a little more of his independence.

It was a privilege to stand alongside Homes For Our Troops and members of our community to honor SSG Delgado and everything he's given. Thank you for your service, Staff Sergeant -- El Paso is grateful for you.

Texas is one of the first states chosen for America's Workforce Academy — a free training program for skilled trades with a path to a job offer at a Meta data center construction site. No experience needed. And every graduate will be guaranteed a job on a Meta partner’s construction site. It's a $115 million first year investment in the workers building AI infrastructure.

Meta has invested $20 billion across the Lone Star State, supporting thousands of jobs from Tarrant County to Central Texas and El Paso. America's Workforce Academy is the next way we're showing up for Texas.
