Book 3 of 2026 was 12 Months by Jim Butcher. This one was pretty special for many reasons. .
Last year I got to paint a mural inspired by this series, and then in January I got to meet the author and give him a copy of the artwork. .
It was hard sum up the book in one image, seeing as a majority of it is very introspective or deals with themes you’d need to have read the series to get. .
My hope was to capture a sense of loss and limbo. After something really tragic happens and you’re left wondering how you’re supposed to be a normal human now that it’s all over. Harry has some really horrible days and his tenacity and human spirit to succeed always encourages me 🖤.

I started this painting inspired by Luthadel in s Mistborn January of 2025. I love books because the image we see is subject to our own imagination and perspective based off of descriptions given to us. I hope you other Cosmere nerds love it 🖤🤍🖤.

2025 was the year I REALLY stopped caring about what other people think I should be doing and started doing what I want....

2025 was the year I REALLY stopped caring about what other people think I should be doing and started doing what I want. Little me would be so mind blown that I paid all my bills with nerdy art. .
This year I painted 3 murals, had 4 larger painting commissions, along with several smaller commissions,. I worked with .sprayed.edges and got to dabble in the world of book art, I even got to do some Lord of the Rings art!
I made the logos for two local businesses, along with the decals for a window display and some merch.
I designed new coffee bags for Cafe Typica as well as revitalized their logo a bit.
I only did two art shows this year, but one was the most successful to date and I’m looking forward to more in 2026! .
Along with all of the amazing art things, I read or listened to 82 books this year, moved across the city to the foothills, went to the renaissance fair 4 times, paddle boarded or swam in the lake twice a week minimum, took my niece and nephew to their first red rocks concert, went to the state fair twice, went to a concert with my big sister, made some special memories with the rest of the family and SO much more🖤.

I’ve been telling Dana I would paint her baby’s nursery for years, and a couple of weeks ago I got to make that little dream a reality🤍 Dana has been a huge part of my life for pretty much forever, and I don’t think I can articulate just how special getting to do this was..
and I am so happy for you two, I can’t say congratulations enough. Baby girl is already so so loved and she’s not even earth-side yet! Thanks for trusting me with the space she will spend so much time in 🤍.
