Lately I’ve been looking around at this existence and thinking: what the f**k kind of Hardcore Mode did we spawn into?
Disease everywhere. Bodies that break down. Cancer. Aging. Random tragedy. A lifespan that’s ridiculously short compared to everything there is to learn and experience. No minimap, no visible objectives, no clear mission briefing, and everybody seems to have a different story about who’s supposedly running the server.
Then humanity hands you thousands of years of gods, angels, demons, Watchers, spirits and assorted supernatural entities, each tradition claiming to understand what’s happening behind the curtain. And somewhere in all that confusion comes the expectation of worship.
I’m supposed to just accept that? Nah. I’m asking questions.
If there really is a Creator behind all this, and that Creator is genuinely worthy of worship, then I don’t believe honest questions should be threatening. I want to understand why creation contains so much beauty and intelligence while simultaneously being filled with disease, decay, suffering and death. That’s not rebellion for the sake of rebellion. That’s somebody actually examining the world he spawned into.
So maybe that’s where I’m at right now:
EARTH // HARDCORE MODE
HUD: Disabled.
Health regeneration: Questionable.
Friendly fire: Enabled.
Disease system: Completely overpowered.
Mission objectives: Classified.
Lifespan timer: Hidden.
Enemy identification: Unknown.
Respawn status: HEAVILY DISPUTED.
Server administrator: Allegedly watching.
And me?
Still connected. Still observing. Still questioning. Still playing Hardcore.
