🎉The website is almost done and ready to launch tomorrow night!!

My forever thanks to all the friends and businesses who have supported me as I've built this site - featuring many of the wonderful designs we've created together over the years, and reviews that have made my heart SO full. 🫶

This is a brand new venture for me - not only creating my own business (I've done that before! 👩‍🍼), but creating a website FROM SCRATCH. I designed every aspect of it, learning as I go, and learning to trust my heart every step of the way. This website is Katydid’s face to the world - the most complete reflection of my work, my values, and the stories I’m honored to help tell.
It👏 has👏 to👏 be👏 perfect👏(!)

Designing for others is easy. Designing for yourself is a whole new ball game. I've seen 4 a.m. many "nights" over the past two weeks and, let me tell you, it's been worth every minute.

👀 I can't wait for you all to see it.

Outside of that, business is already rolling in and we haven't even hard-launched yet! You know, sometimes it feels like all the right things have fallen in and out of place. I'm excited to keep putting this puzzle together ...together!

🤔 GOT PLANS THIS SATURDAY??

Come on down to De Pere High School for Destination: De Pere, Let's Jam! Events run from 8a - 10p, featuring 23 performing show choir teams from around Wisconsin. Your admission lets you come and go throughout the day, but be sure to be there at 3:00, 5:15, and 9:30 to see our Redbird Vocal Music show choirs perform!

I'll be selling raffle tickets and working the admissions table in the afternoon - and then cheering extra loudly (read: embarrassingly) for my son in Jam Session!! 🥳🙌

I'm EXTRA excited that the 300 printed programs will feature my first ad as Katydid Design - and also showcases multiple ads I made for area businesses, in addition to the program cover and many of the features inside. Shout out to the "Destination De Pere: Let's Jam!" crew, all our hard-working students, and Badgerland Printing, Inc. - De Pere for generously donating our beautifully printed programs!!

I’m just a small-town girl… living in a world that, quite honestly, never feels lonely.

As a busy mom of four, being part of this community isn’t just easy - it’s an honor. From designing for our schools, to community theater, to local commercials, to marketing for area businesses, I’ve been proud to help share what makes Brown County our home. ❤️

When you work with Katydid Design, you’re not just investing in your own business or event - you’re supporting multiple local businesses and helping our community thrive.

I’ve been so ✨blessed✨ to work alongside incredible local organizations and campaigns who took a chance on me and gave me room to grow as an artist. Together, we've made some really beautiful things come to life! And now, as I'm working to officially hard-launch Katydid Design, I’ve been deeply touched by the encouragement of friends, family, and the people I get to work with every day.

Over time, I’ve come to see my work as more than just making the “perfect” design. My goal is to communicate - to help share a story - one that reaches the right person at the right moment and helps connect them with what they need. I see myself as a bridge in our community: communicating solutions, amplifying support, and bringing ideas to life with heart and intention.

We’re living in a fascinating moment where creativity and technology are evolving together. Personally, I've been able to evolve and expanded my skill set at an incredible pace. And I love discovering new ways to bring the heart of each business to life - from printed pages, to social media pages, to webpages.

With our rapidly changing technology changing the way we communicate with each other, now more than ever, our local businesses and community events need:

✨ That feeling when you create your very first ad for yourself...

After months of playing around with logos and websites, the universe aligned itself this week and God said, "It's time." I'm pumped about all the projects currently on my plate, honored to collaborate with such wonderful individuals and organizations, and excited to see where this may lead!
