Nextdoor.com has been such a fun tool to use to drum up new business and just get the word out about DTTS.

This woman wasn't sure how to fix her sons gaming laptop, and although the fix was fairly easy, she was at a loss.

I saw many comments on her post throwing numbers and prices at her, and felt pretty bad that she might end up paying $150 plus for something so simple.

I called her and gave her a solution in 5 minutes and she thanked me profusely and said her son will be so happy when he gets home.

Helping people is it's own reward.

Slow laptop? This one got a second life. 💻⚡

Today I helped a client repair and speed up an older laptop that was still running on a traditional SATA hard drive.

Before making any changes, I backed up the original drive to an external hard drive using Robocopy so the client’s files had an extra
layer of protection. Then I used Clonezilla to create a full copy of the older HDD and move it over to a SATA SSD.

The result: the same laptop, the same files, but with a much faster drive inside.

Older laptops don’t always need to be replaced. Sometimes the right upgrade can make a big difference.

I just helped a local client save almost $15,000!

Here’s the breakdown:

They were paying about $300 per month for Business Class Printer that had WAY more features than their tiny office needed.

That equals:

- $3,600 per year

After reviewing their actual usage and needs, I recommended a better long-term solution with an upfront cost of about $1,171.
