SAP Security Patch Day happens once a month. But SAP cyber risk doesn't follow a calendar. And even after a patch is applied, there's still an important question: Can you prove that the risk has actually been reduced?

In our latest blog, we take a closer look at IT-Conductor's September SAP patching activity and how SecureOps supports continuous vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization, automated remediation, and validation.

The results offer a practical example:

📊 S**O Resiliency Index (SRI): 94.1 → 94.7 following patching and remediation activities, with improvements across configuration security and identity and access.

The exercise also demonstrated how SAP Security Notes, kernel vulnerabilities, configuration risks, and remediation workflows can be managed as part of a continuous security process.

For SAP leaders, the bigger question is becoming increasingly important: How quickly can your organization move from identifying a vulnerability to verifying that the risk has been reduced?

🎉 IT-Conductor turns 12! 🎂

Last year, we celebrated becoming a troublesome tween. This year, we’re officially 12 — and still growing, innovating, and having plenty of fun along the way! 🚀

A huge thank you to our customers, partners, and team for being part of the journey. Here’s to 12 years of IT automation, innovation, and many more to come! 🥂

SAP security already has a cost. The harder question for leaders is: Where is that money and capacity actually going—and how much risk is it reducing?

In Webinar #11 of The Rise of SAP Autonomous Cyber Operations, we explored the economics behind SAP cybersecurity: downtime, delayed remediation, specialist hours, manual coordination, detection tools, and the recurring effort required to move a security finding all the way to closure.

The conversation also looked at a different way to measure the value of autonomy. Beyond counting findings and tickets, organizations can look at hours reclaimed, MTTR, cost per finding, audit preparation time, and cost per remediation cycle to understand whether security operations are actually becoming more efficient.

A critical SAP vulnerability was just released. Hour 0 starts now.

Which systems are affected? How serious is the exposure? What should be patched first? Who needs to approve it? And how do you validate that the risk is actually gone?

For the FINAL session of The Rise of SAP Autonomous Cyber Operations, we're going to work through that scenario live.

Discovery → Risk Assessment → Landscape Analysis → Patch Planning → Maintenance Window → Automation → Validation → Compliance Report → Executive Dashboard

After 11 sessions exploring the individual pieces, this is where we bring them together in an end-to-end live cyber resilience exercise.

Our Webinar #10 recap and full recording are now available if you missed the session or want to revisit the architecture and demonstration.

In episode #10 of The Rise of SAP Autonomous Cyber Operations, we explored what an Autonomous SAP Security Operations Center could look like when existing security signals are connected with SAP context, clear ownership, AI-assisted analysis, governed automation, and remediation.

For leadership, that creates a different kind of visibility: not simply what risks exist, but who owns them, how quickly teams are responding, where remediation is stalled, and whether the organization’s security posture is actually improving.

As we get closer to the end of our 12-part series, the pieces are coming together: people, process, SAP context, AI, and automation working as one coordinated operating model.

For 11 webinars, we've explored different pieces of SAP Autonomous Cyber Operations.

Yesterday, we looked at the economics: downtime, delayed remediation, manual effort, scarce expertise, and the business value of reducing cyber risk faster.

Now there's one webinar left.

For the finale, we're bringing everything together in a live cyber resilience exercise.

A critical SAP vulnerability is released. What happens at Hour 0?

Discovery → Risk Assessment → Landscape Analysis → Patch Planning → Maintenance Window → Automation → Validation → Compliance Report → Executive Dashboard

We'll follow the scenario from the initial finding through remediation and validation, showing how the capabilities we've explored throughout the series connect in practice.

Every SAP security decision has a cost.

Fixing a vulnerability may require engineering hours, testing, downtime, coordination, and scarce SAP expertise. Waiting carries a cost too, because exposure remains while remediation is delayed.

We recently explored this in The Economics of Cybersecurity: A Case Study on SAP Cyber Resilience: when resources are limited, the real question becomes which actions can deliver the greatest reduction in business risk for the effort required?

This Wednesday, we're taking that idea further in Webinar #11: The Economics of Autonomous SAP Cyber Operations.

We'll explore how downtime, patch delays, manual work, staffing constraints, and risk exposure affect the economics of SAP security—and how AI and automation can change the equation by reducing the effort and disruption required to remediate.

For leaders responsible for SAP, passing an audit answers an important question: Can we demonstrate that controls are in place?

But there’s another question worth asking: Are those controls still working today?

SAP environments don't stand still between assessments. Security Notes appear, configurations change, privileges evolve, and new risks emerge. That means resilience has to be measured and maintained continuously.

In From Compliance to Continuous Cyber Resilience, Webinar #9 of our masterclass series, we explored how continuous validation, continuous remediation, and continuous reporting can turn compliance requirements into an ongoing SAP cyber resilience practice.

The full recap and webinar recording are now available for anyone who wants to catch up.

Because ultimately, leaders need more than evidence that controls worked during the last review. They need visibility into exposure, remediation progress, exceptions, and whether risk is actually decreasing over time.

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s webinar! Here are some highlights in case you missed it! 👇🏼

1️⃣ Security signals need an operational path to action.
2️⃣ SAP context is critical to deciding what actually requires attention.
3️⃣ The value of detection ultimately depends on how effectively teams can remediate and verify.

But there's another side to this conversation we haven't explored deeply yet:

What is all of this worth to the business?

Downtime has a cost. Delayed patches carry risk. Manual operations consume expensive specialist time. Staff shortages make that capacity even harder to scale.

In Webinar #11, The Economics of Autonomous SAP Cyber Operations, we're bringing those factors together and looking at the business case and potential ROI behind autonomy.

Most enterprises already have plenty of security tools.

SIEM. EDR. Identity platforms. Cloud security. SAP monitoring.

Each provides another source of security information. The harder question is: What happens after those tools identify something that requires action inside SAP?

That's where the idea of an SAP Cyber Operations Center becomes interesting.

Imagine an architecture where signals from across the security stack feed into an SAP-aware operational layer that can add context, coordinate AI agents, trigger governed automation, drive remediation, and report outcomes.
