you’re not supposed to feel comfortable listening to “boltcutter.”
it sits right in that space between control and collapse — where ego gets you high enough to feel untouchable, but not stable enough to stay there.
JADY built this track around tension. not just sonically, but emotionally. it’s about trust, power, and what happens when you give someone the ability to either ground you… or completely take you out.
and the craziest part? it’s not about the fall.
it’s about who gets to decide when it happens.
i broke down the meaning, the imagery, and why this track hits the way it does in my full review on Basement Anthems.
if you’re into alternative music, indie artists, and songs that actually make you think a little deeper, this one’s worth your time.
