Community impact isn't just something you talk about. It's something you show through action.

Today, we're grateful to recognize Walmart Store #881 as a Champion of Future Leaders.

Their support of Future Leaders Academy has gone well beyond simply providing funding.

Through their grant support, we now have additional resources that can be put directly toward creating opportunities for children in our community to experience Leader-Acy.

And when Future Leaders Academy had the opportunity to participate in a community event last weekend, they supported us there too.
That matters.

Because real community partnership isn't always about writing the biggest check. Sometimes it's opening a door. Sometimes it's providing resources. Sometimes it's making a connection. And sometimes it's simply showing up and supporting organizations that are trying to do meaningful work in the community.

Walmart Store #881 has done that for us.

We're also finally getting some of our Champion of Future Leaders certificates into the hands of the people and organizations who have helped us along the way.

These aren't participation certificates.

They're our way of saying:
We see you. We appreciate you. And you have a piece in what we're building.
Because none of this happens in isolation.

Every organization that supports the work. Every person who makes an introduction. Every business that provides resources. Every partner who opens a door. They help create another opportunity for us to reach a child.

That's what community impact looks like.

To the team at Walmart Store #881, thank you for believing in the work, supporting our participation in the community, and helping us create more opportunities for Future Leaders.

We're grateful to have you in our corner.

We Didn't Build Another Nonprofit Platform...

We built the platform we wish existed years ago.

If you've ever led a nonprofit, you know the feeling.

One spreadsheet for grants.

Another tool for tasks.

A separate CRM for donors.

A calendar somewhere else.

Impact stories in Word documents.

Board notes in Google Drive.

Budgets in Excel.

Volunteer information in another system.

Before long, you're spending more time managing software than advancing your mission.

That never sat right with us.

Because nonprofits weren't created to become administrators.

They were created to change lives.

So over the last several months, we stepped back.

We listened.

We tested.

We learned.

We partnered with more than 15 nonprofit organizations during our pilot, gathering honest feedback from the people doing this work every day. We didn't just collect ideas.. we incorporated them, refining Mission Control into a platform shaped by real nonprofit experiences and needs.

Mission Control isn't another tool you have to make work.

It's an operating system intentionally built for nonprofits.. from organizing grants and programs to strengthening relationships, measuring impact, and helping leaders make better decisions. It reflects our long-standing belief that technology should reduce administrative burden so organizations can focus on the people and communities they serve.

And because every nonprofit starts somewhere...

We built a Free plan.

Not as a trial.

Not with an expiration date.

But because we know that many organizations begin with more passion than funding.

As your mission grows...

Your team grows.

Your programs grow.

Your impact grows.

Mission Control grows with you.

No starting over.

No migrating to another platform.

Just one place that evolves alongside your organization.

This is only the beginning.

We've acted on nearly every piece of feedback from our pilot, and we'll continue listening. Mission Control will keep growing because the nonprofit sector keeps evolving, and we want to evolve with it.

On August 3rd, Mission Control officially launches.

We're excited to place it in the hands of the people it was built for.

The people changing lives.

The people strengthening communities.

The people proving every day that impact matters more than profit.

Welcome to Mission Control.

Let's spend less time managing systems... and more time changing lives.

Big things are happening at Building Connections.

Over the next few weeks, you'll start noticing some changes to our branding, messaging, and content. That's because we're evolving.

Since day one, our mission has been to help organizations leverage technology to work smarter. As we've grown, so has our vision.

Moving forward, Building Connections will be placing a stronger focus on helping nonprofit organizations build stronger, more sustainable operations through strategy, AI, custom applications, automation, and intelligent systems designed specifically for mission-driven work.

We'll continue supporting small businesses with AI and automation solutions, but we're expanding our focus to create technology and tools that help nonprofits increase their impact, strengthen leadership, improve fundraising, measure outcomes, and make better strategic decisions.

This next chapter is about more than technology.

It's about building solutions that help organizations create lasting impact.

We're excited to share more with you soon.

🌟 Every Future Leader starts with one opportunity.

We're excited to share that the Craig Buchanan II Scholarship Fund has now received support for 6 Future Leaders through Future Leaders Academy.

Our goal is to provide scholarship opportunities for 100 students during our first year, helping them build literacy, leadership, confidence, character, and future-ready skills through the Leader-Acy experience.

Every scholarship represents more than financial support.

It represents a Future Leader receiving an opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported this mission.

πŸ“š Learn It. πŸ’™ Live It. πŸš€ Lead It.

Some people leave behind memories.

Some people leave behind a legacy.

Today, Future Leaders Academy is honored to announce the creation of the "Craig Buchanan II Scholarship Fund."

Craig Allen Buchanan II believed in people.

He believed in encouraging others, lifting others up, and showing up fully for life.

He was an artist, an educator, a father, a mentor, and a friend. He spent nearly a decade helping shape young lives as a preschool teacher, creating experiences that children would remember long after they left his classroom.

What makes Craig's story so powerful is that he understood what it meant to overcome challenges.

He faced learning obstacles and speech delays as a child. He refused to let those obstacles define him.

Instead, he became an award-winning artist, a respected educator, a leader in his community, and someone who inspired countless people simply by being himself.

Craig believed in growth.

He believed in perseverance.

He believed in encouraging people to keep going, even when life got hard.

He loved the kids!

Those values align perfectly with what we are building at Future Leaders Academy.

The Craig Buchanan II Scholarship Fund was established to help remove barriers for students and families so more young people can access opportunities to learn, grow, lead, and discover their potential.

This fund is more than a scholarship.

It is a commitment to carrying Craig's legacy forward through the lives of future generations.

We are especially honored that the logo representing this scholarship fund was selected by Craig's son, Craig III, ensuring that his father's impact continues through the people who loved him most.

Craig's story did not end on October 3, 2025.

It lives on through the children he inspired.

The family he loved.

The community he served.

And now, through every future leader this scholarship helps support.

Thank you, Craig.

Your impact continues.
