Today marks your second birthday since you were taken from us, and the void you left behind is just as deep as it was the day you passed away a year ago in May. Not a day goes by where I don’t wish you were still here with us. I miss your presence so deeply, and it aches to think of the beautiful creative projects we had left to finish together.

More than anything, I miss our phone conversations. We could talk about absolutely anything—from our music and creative visions to the deepest parts of life. We built each other up, encouraging one another through our health battles, and your wisdom and advice always guided me when I needed it most. Oh, how I miss the sound of your voice. You were a true, loyal, and irreplaceable friend taken from this world far too soon. If I could switch places with you right now just to bring you back, I would do it without a second thought.

But I am a man of my word. I pride myself on keeping my promises, and I am trying my absolute best every single day to fulfill the sacred vow I made to you: to keep your music alive, to share your artistry, and to protect your beautiful legacy.

Your physical absence leaves an irreplaceable silence, but your spirit remains woven into every beat, every melody, and every word we ever shared. You gave so much beauty to this world through your art and your heart. May your heavenly birthday be filled with the peace and beauty you so truly deserve. You are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and you will never, ever be forgotten. Rest peacefully, my friend... Tiara Marie

SKYLA — “LIGHTNING UP THE SKY TONIGHT”

Coming this October, Skyla makes her debut as a recording artist with “Lightning Up the Sky Tonight,” a melodic dance/electronic release that blends the atmospheric qualities of trance with the rhythmic drive of breakbeat.

Written and produced by Erick Monasterio and performed by longtime friend and collaborator Skyla, the track delivers a smooth, emotional energy while maintaining the pulse and movement of the club. Rather than leaning heavily into the harder side of electronic music, “Lightning Up the Sky Tonight” takes a more melodic and accessible approach—designed to connect with both dance music listeners and a broader radio audience.

At around 131 BPM, the production moves with a steady breakbeat-driven groove, layered with melodic elements and an atmospheric electronic backdrop that gives Skyla's vocal performance room to take center stage.

The result is a record that lives comfortably between adio and the dance floor—mellow enough to draw the listener in, but energetic enough to keep the momentum moving.

“Lightning Up the Sky Tonight” marks Skyla’s first official release, introducing her as a new voice within the dance/electronic space while establishing a sound that bridges melodic electronic music, breakbeat, and trance influences.

The track is currently targeted for an October 2026 release, with the official release date to be announced.
