Resident Evil Sega Dreamcast shell packed and shipped!

This is a custom theme on an OEM shell - went with the color inspiration of the authentic RE Dreamcast version of a red and gray combo.

I totally forgot to pack their free coaster gift... Will have to ship that separately to them 😅 Starting an Etsy has it's own challenges... 🤦‍♂️

A coveted set for collectors! I've been turning down most repair requests lately - just because they take up so much time... but a client asked if I could help with a vertical collapse on this one and I couldn't say no. Such a gorgeous screen on these!

Reflowing the IC recovered the bottom half of the screen - so went ahead and replaced it with a new IC, recapped the vertical circuit, and reflowed areas. It lives on ❤️

Let's play a game... Guess the theme for this upcoming Sega Dreamcast?! 🤔

This console shell is ready for a final clear coat now, and its taken so much time and energy - I'll be keeping it for myself instead of listing it on etsy 😅 Ah the struggle of a collector/creator lol

So, I'll be fully building it up as my new GDemu console. And will instead be letting go of my orange/black one soon with custom lighting! I have both a full black or orange shell - so if the new owner doesnt want a 2-tone, I can change it.

Ever seen a Weiner-Cast? Once you play with it, you'll want one too 😉

Contrary to my earlier post of an oem restore, this Dreamcast is a fully loaded custom! Client wanted a unique, and modern build. He went all out on options, and when it came to a theme - decided to pay homage to his two dachshund doggies.

After a couple of mockups - we landed on doing a fun 'sonic' style, something like what Sega would use in their 90s/00s advertising. (Added some dreamcast swirls to the paws for some extra DC flair)

Sega Dreamcast restore!

As much as I love custom jobs - I do appreciate all originals!

Client sent this in for a little tlc. Fully disassembled and cleaned the shell, and refreshed the boards for years to come. Needed some repairs on a no-video output fault as well. Only thing not OEM is the fan upgrade. Enjoy Carl!

Sharp 36U-S60 - Serviced and RGB modded

Rarely have sets for sale myself. This just happened to be one that fell into my care that was in disrepair. Put some time into it, and the picture quality on this massive 36" bubble just goes to show it was worth the save!

Never personally owned an SNES... grew up a SEGA kid 😅

Wanted to pick one up as a “garage test unit” for CRT mods - something that could take some abuse and that I wouldn’t be too worried about. So I picked up a rough salvage unit off eBay.

Let’s just say what started as some basic repairs turned into a full overhaul... I got a little carried away. But this thing came out looking fantastically sharp 👌

It’s a 2-chip model, and I wanted to clean up the picture more like those coveted 1CHIP models, so I also installed the ThunderTechnologies SNEdge GitHub project. I added some RGB before-and-after pics of that enhancement, and it’s a night-and-day difference!

I also grabbed a cart that would allow me to run 240p Test Suite for my purposes - will pickup some official games locally soon.

Recapped, reflowed, new fuse, new back plate, tons of clean-up... then I decided: why not a new shell too? Fancy garage unit now... lol

Sets being picked up this weekend!

▪️ Now setup with RGB using Sunthar's mux board. Fantastic looking save fully dialed in!

▪️ Removed antiglare film and reassemble set for them
🎮 Also recapped their og Xbox - and their Dreamcast, along with the noctua fan and GDemu
