In a world of social media content engineered to grab your attention, I'd rather just be straight with you.
AI is here and software is getting cheaper to produce. Not all of it is good, and some of it solves problems that were never problems to begin with. My theory is that it mostly shifts the workload onto QA once engineers get comfortable. Tools will keep changing. What doesn't change is that somebody has to be accountable when your site goes down at 6 on a Friday.
So why work with me? Let me answer that the long way around.
I watched my father build a small trucking company my whole life. Thirty years later, he's still hauling for the same companies. Ease, convenience, and above all, reliability. They pick up the phone, make one call, and know it's handled. One load or 250 loads, same phone call. He does whatever it takes to get the job done on time or ahead of schedule. It's the trait most deeply instilled in me.
Here's a conversation I'll never forget.
I was 14 and playing in a band. I asked to be picked up at 9:00. I walked out at 9:15, got in the truck, and spent the whole ride home getting a lecture: I set the time, he was there at 8:55, and making him wait was disrespectful of his time.
I didn't set out to write a post about my dad. But those are the things that made me who I am.
Here's why it matters more now than it used to.
A website is not a thing you buy once and forget. It's a thing that has to be maintained. The same tools making software cheaper to build are making it cheaper to attack, and the people probing your site for an outdated plugin or an unpatched form aren't people at all. They're automated, they're cheap to run, and they don't care how small your business is. They're just looking for a door somebody left open.
Most small business owners find out the hard way, usually months after it happened.
So whether you need a site built or you just want somebody keeping an eye on the one you already have, send me a message. One call, and it's handled.
